Kogod IT Department facts: Kogod's
IT Department is one
of the most actively engaged departments at American University with
industry, practice and scholarly research. Our
Information Technology
Executive Council (ITEC) is composed of influential information management
leaders and CIO's, who meet with our faculty to provide guidance on things
like: curriculum development to meet employment market demands; course
content; guest speakers; placement; and networking. Similarly, our
Center for Information Technology and the Global Economy (CITGE) members are
accomplished IT professionals who work with our faculty to develop research
agendas relevant to the needs of practitioners. And our faculty is also world
class. Did you know that Prof. Bill DeLone has the most cited scholarly article
in the entire IT field? Did you know that Prof. Erran Carmel is one of the
World's leading experts on global outsourcing and offshoring, and that his
book is used in outsourcing courses at most top schools?
